In 1964 Mattel introduced the Swirl Ponytail Barbie to compliment the new Glamorous era. Very little playwear if at all. Her shiny lemon blonde hair is in its original factory set top knot and yellow ribbon. Her swirl is a bit loose along with some stray hairs. No neck splits or missing hair plugs. She has faded light colored. Around both ears and very light traces in her hair, hard to see. All original face paint with no touch ups. Lovely blue eyes and blue eyeliner. One eyebrow is slightly lighter with no rubs. Original Coral lips with minimal light rubs along edges. Matching coral finger and toe nail polish are 95% there. Good skin tone torso, arms and legs, slightly darker face. Arms and legs hold all positions well. Bottom of her right foot is correctly marked Japan as well as her body markings Midge T. (In 1964 added the word “Patented”). Original Red Helenca swimsuit in good condition, with no stains, runs or holes. Top of one leg and crotch needs easy re-stitching. Wire stand is Not Included.
