Very Rare Vintage 1950s Hakata Urasaki HAWAII Hula Doll WITH IPU

This listing includes an Extremely Rare and vintage 7 inch Hakata Urasaki Doll. These dolls are prized possessions because of the realistic design and attention to details. The statue was handmade in the 1950s by the very well respected company URASAKI. The URASAKI dolls were marketed soldiers during the Korea war and were a hit amongst the soldiers. For a hand-painted handmade statue from the 1950s it is in good condition. Please look at the photos To judge for yourself the condition of the item. Because of the age there are some damages. Some noticeable damage is loss of paint to the hair and paint cracking/ missing. Another damage is down on the base of the doll. The doll was mishandled and at one point and part of the base/dress chipped off. I did my best to very carefully glue it back together. As a result it is much less noticeable and hard to tell from a distance away. The statue shows a Hawaiian woman playing a ipu (gourd). HAKATA DOLL Japanese Tattoo master & woman Geisha Oiran Ukiyo-e Figure Vintage

It is very unusual motif ornament. (HAKATA DOLL) 0f a Japanese tattoo artist tattooing a geisha. The state is overall although there is dirt of the passing age. I chose not to clean this because the paint is old and has cracks. This needs like a clear coat to protect paint from peeling off. The painting of the Hakata doll is very detailed. No chips or cracks just paint flakes. Very rate piece about 12″ long 9″ high.
