Vintage Sunset Barbie Malibu PJ Doll Twist & Turn Japan Mattel 1966 TNT Tan Girl

Excellent condition The Sun Set Malibu P. Twist and Turn 1966 Mattel Japan Barbie. Who had the best tan? Well of couse it’s the #1187 The Sun Set Malibu P. The Malibu dolls were an instant hit. This doll has beautiful blonde hair which is nice and full. Knees, arms, and legs all hold position. Very pretty skin tone on her face, makeup is good. She has white earrings and no green earring marks. Includes vintage pink swim suit and Pink ball gown, which is in great condition. There are two small pin holes on her upper back thighs (see photos). There is a small pin hole on her right inner calf (see photo). Other than that, she is in amazing condition for her age! She has been very well taken care of in her 50+ years! Any other minor marks shown in photos are consistent with age of doll. See pictures as they are part of the description. I’ve made every effort to document any flaws or marks, if you would like to see more photos please ask. This vintage Sunset Barbie Malibu PJ doll is a must-have for any Barbie collector. The doll, manufactured by Mattel in 1966 and made in Japan, is a straight-haired blonde with blue eyes and tan skin. The doll comes in her fashion outfit and is made of vinyl and plastic materials. Vintage 1960s Barbie Lot fashion queen bubblecut malibu christie francie japan

From left to right. Fashion queen barbie midge body excellent condition but her hair and face are touched up will easily restore to original with a bit of alcohol. Beautiful bubblecut ready to restore! Painted leg version with midge barbie body, good condition, unfaded pink lips beautiful original face paint, light case of green ear easy to treat if you restore, will need a reroot. She is a growin pretty francie who somehow missed the bang section of the process. Really beautiful original facepaint, lashes, face slightly off color but not nearly as much as some of these dolls get. Retractable ponytail is broken. Arms swing correctly too. Big haired titian bubblecut! On barbie only body eyelash ridge touched up, lips repainted can be removed with bit of alcohol underneath no lips at all… Arms are a little swingy but just a little. Faintest tinge of green from original earrings but its barely noticeable especially with her huge hair. I have made every attempt to describe them accurately please ask questions im happy to provide additional photos etc. These dolls are clean and in good condition, short the flaws noted. MIB Vintage 1970’s BARBIE’S The Sun Set MALIBU P. J. Doll #1187 TNT

This is a Mint In Box Malibu PJ doll from the Barbie family of dolls produced by MATTEL in 1970. This was part of the Sun Set doll collection and featured a tan which had never been seen on Barbie dolls before and was all the rage in the early 70’s. She is a TNT (Twist and Turn) doll and comes complete with her swimsuit, towel still in it’s plastic cover, sunglasses and hair done in pigtails with beads. She still has her original PJ wristband and she is still attached to her box with a plastic armband in the back, and the plastic cellophane is still on her head. No greening to be found. The box is in great shape for it’s age but does have some staining on it and some minimal wear on the edges. The punch hole used for hanging has never been punched out of the box. There is also a black marker spot on the back of the box near the punch hole at the top corner. The plastic covering for the doll is still intact on the box but it does have a crack in the upper left corner. A great addition for a collector! All of my items are from a smoke free environment.
