This is one beautiful doll. She is a vintage #5 Brunette Ponytail Barbie, and she comes with the following accessories. Vintage two-piece Barbie R box (no hair color indicated on the box). Reproduction white liner inside box. Vintage black wire stand. Reproduction black & white zebra striped one-piece swimsuit. Vintage black open-toe shoes. Vintage white sunglasses with blue lenses. Barbie is in excellent vintage condition. Her makeup is all original. There have been no touch ups. She has gorgeous teal eye liner (aka “robin’s egg blue”). Barbie’s complexion is matte, not greasy. Barbie still has the original top knot in her hair. The bottom of her ponytail has been reset into big, fluffy curls. Her hair is silky, not frizzy. It is really thick. No missing plugs that I can see. Barbie has the faintest tint of green just on the lobe of her right ear. You can see it in picture 7 where I pulled the earring out far enough so you can see the ear itself. Left ear is perfectly clear and never had green ear issues (picture 8). Limbs pose as intended. No missing fingers or toes. She has bright red polish on her fingers and toes. Very little evidence of play wear. There are two or three very small dark marks (looks like pencil marks) on the back of her left leg (probably from resting against something during storage). But these are very minor and do not detract from her beauty at all. Did I mention her teal eye liner? Barbie is on her correct “Barbie” only body… No “Midge” on her markings. So she is definitely not a #6. Also, her torso is hollow… So she is definitely not a #4. Vintage R box is in good vintage condition. In the upper left corner of the box lid, someone wrote “Black PT” very lightly in pencil. It is so light that I did not see it until I zoomed in on the pictures when the listing went live. There is one puncture on the front of the box just to the right of the ballerina shoes (picture 2). There are stray pencil marks inside the lid (picture 11). There is one small half-inch split in upper right corner of box lid. No splits in bottom piece. No tape on the box. Booklet, wire stand, shoes, and sunglasses are all vintage. All in excellent condition. No writing on it. One shoe is marked Japan on the bottom. Sunglasses open and close as intended. Barbie’s swimsuit is new and mint… Repurposed from a reproduction 35th anniversary Barbie. If repro swimsuit is a deal breaker for you, please let me know. I may be able to find her a vintage swimsuit amongst my other dolls. Overall, this is an outstanding example of a #5 Ponytail Barbie. She will steal your heart.
