Face paint is beautiful and bright… On eyes, brows, & lips Head coloring has a nice pink/peach tone. There is no green or other discolorations. No bite marks No neck splits or nose nips. Hair Blond hair is in great condition. Hair is thick with no missing plugs I can see. Nice wave across bottom Body Original Japan straight leg body in excellent condition. Coloring has a nice even (arms, legs, & torso) pink/peach tone. Arms and legs are secure in sockets. No missing fingers or toes. No green or other discolorations. Marked 1966 Mattel Inc, U. Vintage Mattel 1968 TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS BARBIE DOLL Chitty Chitty Bang Bang EUC NUDE. In Excellent Used and Displayable Condition NUDE ONLY. I don’t see any major flaws. Eyelashes are present and intact. Head still has a great tone and has not really yellowed as many of these dolls tend to do. All limbs move and hold a pose as they should. Great way to fill in the missing parts of your outfits. Check out my BARBIE AND KEN category. I think this is a true #3 Ponytail Barbie. Others may think possibly late #3 early #4. She has a solid torso, with some fade on torso but not so much on arms or legs, has the flossy blonde flocked hair with soft poodle bangs. Her arms are bendable as expected. She has the soft hair of dolls #1-4, with the poodle bangs. #4 was the first Barbie body known to retain more flesh color as Mattel perfected the vinyl. But Mattel also used parts from earlier releases with heads produced later, often using pairs of arms or pairs of legs from one mold with torso etc from other releases. Her mark on the right butt has been partially worn off due to being played with but you can see she is a Barbie TM not R, making her #3 or #4, as after this the bodies were molded with R in circle. Her blonde ponytail has had some loss in thickness and length from early play without the two original wrap, end curl and rubber bands, she has a single pony tail with newer rubber band. I notice a faint greenish discoloring to the hair along her left side, may have been from earrings in past, the doll was loved and PLAYED with which I stress to buyers this is not a collectors mint unretouched never played with doll. THIS Barbie wears her striped black and white zebra stripe original bathing suit. Original sunglasses are missing one arm, the other arm was glued on to be permanently open, as it had broken off. The one sunglass arm will not fold now. Bottom of right foot has JAPAN mark running lengthwise as expected from #3 and #4 body. Without the color this gal looked sadly anemic so I gave her the original color and look. VERY Slight retouch of eyeliner/black lash following original lines and color matched. She looks very nice IMO, will display greatly now. If I were to keep this Barbie I would consider getting her hair filled out if possible, the top of head is flocked while only sides are rooted, as expected but there are people who did beautiful work on vintage Barbies including hair. Most of her toenail color is present just slightly faded, and fingernails look very good for the most part, a bit of tiny nibbly dents on fingers of her right hand. No retouch done on nails. She is on a small doll display stand for photos, this is NOT a Barbie doll stand but I would be happy to include this in the listing if desired as original stands are really hard to come by. This stand is a bit tall for the doll I would recommend one that will go around her waist. Thanks for stopping in and follow my store as I list new items daily.
