Two Vintage Ken Dolls Flocked Hair Made In Japan. One doll has an arm that is detached. One has shoes that are marked’Japan’. These were the clothes with them when I got them. But not sure if they are the correct ones to go with these dolls. Some have’Ken’ labels but some do not. Quite a bit of the flocked hair has rubbed off and there is some discoloration. This recent find is from the Estate of a Hobby and Antiques Store Owner and is a VINTAGE 1961 KEN with Flocked Hair HE’S A DOLL HE’S BARBIE’S BOYFRIEND with Shorts, Shoes, Towel and Stand Plus ORIGINAL BOX. Doll is BRUNETTE BY MATTEL and box is marked STOCK NO. Doll is in Very Good overall condition with Excellent paint on face, the flocked hair does have some rubbed spots and shoes are possibly both for right foot? Box is in Overall Great shape for age/storage with two of the corners showing some wear (split) on the lid (see pic # 7 & #8). Doll measures approximately 12H. Vintage 1961 Ken Doll #750 with Brunette Flocked Hair in Box withStand and Case

Original 1961 Brunette Flock-Haired Ken (#750) with Box and Doll Case. This year, Mattel marked Ken’s 60th birthday with a special reproduction release. But this is your opportunity to own the original from 1961! This vintage, brunette Ken comes with the original flocked (or “fuzzy head”) hair design, which was later replaced with painted molded plastic. I’ve included a picture of his markings, which say Ken T. While the dolls appears to be a first edition, it’s possible that the box and outfit are later, because I believe the first edition swimsuit had a white stripe and didn’t include the robe. The joints are firm, but the torso is a lighter color than the head, arms and legs. There are no neck splits or bite marks, and the flocking is in really good condition except for a small thinning spot just above his right temple. However, there is a slight red streak on his right thigh. The box has the wear you might expect from 60 years and is in reasonably good shape, except for the bottom right corner of the cover box where there are splitting issues. The Ponytail wardrobe case is also from 1961, as in really good shape except for minor scuffing. The handle and hardware on the top look practically brand new. From the pictures, you can see that the left side of the case is indented. The cardboard drawers also have some staining issues. This doll comes with everything you see in the picture, including swim trunks, robe, box, stand and original brochure, plus the 1961 wardrobe box. This item comes from my mother’s personal. Collection and has been stored away gently for years in a pet-free, smoke-free home. If you have any questions, just ask. This Is Just the Tip of Large Pink Iceberg. 1961 vintage, 1st blonde flocked hair Ken doll, MIB Japan 750. Ken is in near mint condition. No paint loss, or hair loss. Does have some red discoloring around hips (from shorts). Comes with an original box in very good condition, has some minor issues. An original black stand, original pink Barbie and Ken booklet, and his original blue wrist tag. All his clothing is in excellent condition, and he came with the clothing pictured. None of his clothing is tagged. The sandals that are enclosed with the doll is what came with him. I will also add an original pair of red shoes and a yellow towel (not pictured). Flocked hair Ken dolls where only made for one year 1961. Please view all pictures and ask any questions you may have.
