This vintage 60s Mattel Color Magic Barbie doll features vibrant yellow High Color hair. She comes with her original diamond-patterned swimsuit and blue heels. Included is one sealed color magic changer packet with yellow mixing bowl. I have read a few places that she is considered a “1st edition” or “first issue” since the Mattel branding on her backside is indented and “Made in Japan” is raised. Outfits included are #1779 #4041 Mix’N Matchers Fashion Fun Set. Comes with shirt, skirt, pants, pink shoes, and HTF sun hat. Condition: Overall great condition. No green ear or neck splits. She has all her fingers (with polish) and toes. No stains or holes in the clothing. Her hair is a bit uneven in the back (pictured) and maybe the slightest bit thin on the front depending on how its styled (pictured). The ribbon on the swimsuit is also a bit frayed/short. Up for grabs today is the wonderful opportunity to own is absolutely adorable color magic Julia! Although this doll is not for the ultra mint or picky collector, she will make a beautiful and glamorous addition to your collection! Julia has an absolutely incredible head of hair! Her hair is a beautiful shade of yellow, it is very thick with no missing plugs. Some sections of Julia’s hair are a bit choppy, however, this is how she was made at the factory. She has one small earring hole per ear, but no other flaws to her head vinyl! She has dramatic dark eyelashes, strong eyebrows, light amber eyes, and peachy pink lips! Her body is in great shape for being 60 years old. She has all of her fingers and toes, no swingy limbs, both knees clicking and bending, and no pin pricks on her ankles!! The only notable issues with her body are a few small marks on her lower left leg, and a faint discoloration on her upper right thigh. Both of these minor flaws are truly invisible on display, but wanted to mention them anyways. On a best offer, she will arrive nude. Overall, the dress has still has vibrant yellow and pink coloring, the original closure functioning, and is tagged Barbie. There are rubs and discolorations to the velvet, various repairs, and it overall has seen a LOT of playtime. The yellow pilgrims are unmarked, but fit well and they are good for display! This is one of the prettiest Skipper dolls I have ever seen. The original owner took amazing care of her Barbie family dolls. The other dolls, for instance, all came with the wrist tags. Skipper does not have hers though. Over time, her hair has oxidized into two tones. It has red and auburn highlights and picks up light beautifully in natural sun. She does not have true Color Magic hair, but collectors often refer to this type of doll as a Color Magic Skipper. And if you are familiar with these dolls, you know their hair is exceptionally thick. Skipper has her original thatching on the top. She may have a couple of strays. She is all original. I have brushed her hair, but have not washed or conditioned it. Look how amazing it is after 60 plus years! Her facial paint is great. She has an indent on each ear, although they have not been pierced. The left ear has a pink dot within the indentation. Here right arm looses it’s pose at about the 5:30 position. I have wiped her down. She was found wearing her a Red Sensation dress. Skipper has her original swimsuit, stand, flats, hairband, brush and pamphlet. She will arrive with an original HTF Skipper liner I took from another doll. The liner has water damage on the bottom right section and so I would consider it TLC. Her box a small rip on the top. Its graphics are great. I have added the plastic protector to Skipper. We have a non-smoking home.
