VINTAGE JAPANESE GEISHA MAIKO OIRAN GOFUN DOLL. I believe my dolls are some of the most unique dolls that are available today. I don’t know much about the history of each doll, as I collect them for their beauty only. They are vintage dolls and are in good condition for their age, however they do generally show signs of natural aging such as , fading of kimono, age spots, etc. I will do my best to highlight these signs in my photos. The princess heroine of a historical drama that is widely told in Kabuki theater. The princess holds a warrior’s helmet that was blessed by Suwa god. She is a large doll standing and is in very good condition for her age. Her face, hands and feet are covered in gofun, oyster paste.
