Vintage 1961 Barbie Brunette/Raven First Year Bubblecut Doll, Clothes, Case

Doll is in good condition. Original face paint and nail polish. Hair is good but feels a little stiff on top. No green ears or neck splits. Some with tags, some clones and some are handmade. Some are TLC and need repairs or cleaning. Purses, mismatched shoes, hats, belt need TLC. Case is in good condition.

Vintage Mod 1967 Twist’N Turn Barbie Doll #1160 – “Silver Brunette”. Original “Twist’N Turn” Barbie doll from the 60’s. She has the harder to find “silver brunette” hair that has a grayish / charcoal hue. Hair is factory set hair with original orange hair ribbon bow that is factory tied. Including pictures of her hair in natural daylight to better understand hair color. Hair is long, shiny, & smooth. Original factory paint & eyelashes – great condition! Lips are nice, slight fade at the upper bow of her lip. Skin coloring is peachy pink & even. Legs tight at hip. No bites, no pricks, no chews to her legs or feet. Some nail polish on fingers. Japan markings on rear & under feet (see pics). Vintage, gently played with condition. Doll only – stand not included & shown for display purposes only. Smoke free, cat free, dog friendly home. Japanese vintage kimekomi doll “Dancing Lady”. Kimekomi Doll is a traditional Japanese doll. It was established in the middle of 18th century at Kamigamo Shrine in Kyoto. The legend said that the carving artist of Kamigamo Shrine, Takahashi Tadashige, made a doll with the Kimono fabrics. This was the origin of Kimekomi dolls. He made many dolls from mill ends from his works at the shrine. Late Kimekomi dolls were imported to Edo, current Tokyo, and improved with Edo Culture, because Edo period was a very peaceful period, many Japanese cultures flourished splendidly. Comparing to Kyoto Style Kimekomi Dolls, Edo Style Kimekomi Dolls has a smart face with small eyes and nose. Kyoto Style takes the essence of the elegance.
