Vintage 1968 World of Barbie Case #1002 + TNT Francie TNT Skipper + Clothing + Accs. FROM A LOCAL ESTATE: Vintage Mod Barbie Doll Estate Sale Lot with a 1968 Pink World of Barbie Case, 2 Twist-n-Turn Dolls: Francie & Skipper, with additional Clothing, shoes, some boots and other miscellaneous accessories. All items are in used and played with condition and there is nothing mint. There are imperfections and some soiling on some of the pieces but most still look to be in good shape. INCLUDED IN THIS LOT. 1968 Pink World of Barbie Doll Case marked No. Case has great color & graphics. Overall good condition – no rips or tears though there are several “pin holes” on the upper left hand corner (see pix) and some markings on the white vinyl interior – see pix. 1972 Quick Curl Skipper doll #4223, wearing a long turquoise & white lace trimmed dress. The bow at the waist is white. She has her original turquoise blue hair bow and her white flat shoes are marked TAIWAN. This Skipper has blonde hair, pink skin, freckles, turquoise eyes and pink lips. She’s a TNT with bendable legs. Her legs each have 3 clicks and hold well. Her hair can be styled but styling tools not included. Taiwan US Patented Other Patents Pending. 1972 Quick Curl Francie Doll #4222 Mattel Twist N’ Turn Brunette in original yellow polka dot dress. She has l ong brunette quick curl hair, painted eyelashes, brown eyes, twist waist, bendable knees, her original long yellow and white gingham short sleeved dress and white shoes. No hair styling tools included. May need a cleaning as well. I have pointed out flaws in the pictures, but may have missed something. All limbs move, bend and hold a pose. VINTAGE BARBIE 1960’s ORIGINAL BROWNETTE FLOCKED KEN DOLL #750 with OUTFIT
Please see full item description for more details. Up for your consideration is this vintage flocked Ken doll with original outfit. He is an authentic “Brownette” with original flocking and face paint (alcohol tested). An easy way to tell a brownette from others is by looking at the eyes. On a brownette there is a white crescent or dash on the pupil, other dolls just have a white dot on the iris (see last photo for comparison). He does have some loss/indents to the flocking and some redness in various areas of the body. There is also light paint loss to the eyebrows. All limbs hold a pose. The swim trunks have just a faint spot. Sandals have the straps intact. Please view all the pictures and ask any questions before purchasing. Vintage Collectible Oiran Doll Kimono Rare. Here is an elaborately dressed courtesan representing the pre-geisha world of the early Edo Period. These courtesans – known as Oiran – were entertainers for the upper class of society. Trained in the art of “fine entertainment, ” their services were reserved for the nobility at a very high price. Oiran have become legendary figures in the cultural history of Japan. Their numbers decreased sharply as the prosperous merchant class of the time grew. Because their services were expensive and exclusive, Oiran were not available to the merchant class who instead sought out the company of the geisha. Oiran came to be seen as old fashioned in their costuming, manners and performances, while the geisha were thoroughly modern for the time. Oiran are part of a distant past, while the geisha culture lives on. This doll stands at 27″ tall on a 12″ x 13 base. She is in flawless condition, having been kept in a glass display case which no longer exists. This type of doll is unique for their hand painted silk cloth faces. Her heavy multi-layered kimono is made of embroidered simulated silk, extravagantly colored and patterned. The large flat “cutting board” obi worn at the front is unique to the Oiran, as are the tall black lacquered “geta” clogs which elevate her presence. Her hair is filled with many different “kanzashi” ornaments and she carries a paper & wood fan + tassel. This doll is a rare creature, and makes a real showpiece in any room. Both of these need restoration and or cleaning. Perfect for the hobbyist. The case has a few minor wear and tear problems as expected. All of the clothing needs to be cleaned. The dolls both had the bangs chopped. The hair is the main issue. I think that both have had a little bit of a trim or a haircut as the lengths are off on the bangs. Vintage 1962 Black Bubble Cut Barbie Doll in Original Red Swimsuit. Scroll down for larger views. This is a Bubble Cut Barbie, made in 1962 by Mattel. She has her early marked’Barbie’ body and a Bubble Cut hairstyle. Her face is excellent, with good coloring and paint, blue eyes & ruby lips. May be a slight touch-up on lips? No earrings & no green ear. Hair is black, full & clean in the original bouffant set. Body is also nice with excellent coloring. Reddish nail polish is mostly intact. One arm is just slightly swingy, but everything else is tight. Barbie wears an original 1962 red knit swimsuit, in very good condition.
