This listing is for a lot of four (4) vintage 1950’s Black KOKESHI BOBBLE HEAD dolls. The lady lived in Japan in the 1950’s and these were included in the lot. There are two sets of males and females. One is set is approximately 2.25″ while the other set is 1.25″. The paint is in very nice condition and the taller set has different turban-like hats-one has a necklace while the other does not. The smaller set is very shiny paint with the female having flowers painted on her head while the male has a fern-like detailing. These are in overall very nice and they are from a smoke free home. I have not been able to find anything like this online and they do have a somewhat Island look to them. AS ALWAYS YOUR SATISFACTION IS GUARANTEED. I was told this was never removed from box. I have no way of knowing if that’s true. I did not remove her from the box for inspection. The face looks great with no damage that I can see. There is cello over her face, which I assume is original. There is polish on the hands and feet and no flaws visible. The booklet is present and the band that holds her legs in is broken. On the back of her legs there is a discoloration line (pictured) from that bar and unsure if it can be removed. The wrist tag (Made in Japan) and not been taped back on. The box has wear. The bottom appears to have water damage. There is some creasing, warping and wear, mainly to the edges. There is a rip where the band originally went into the box. Box is dated 1964. Box is slightly dusty and I did not wipe it off. Could brighten up a little with a quick wipe if wanted. My knowledge of Barbie is limited, but I think this is the short hair version. We sell a wide variety of used items. We try to describe them as best we can but we are not professionals, nor are we experts on any type of items we sell. Most of the items we sell are used. When we sell a used item normal wear, scratches, & signs of use should be expected. Most items will need a quick cleaning. Please don’t ask, just leave it and you will get a positive in return. This doll is gorgeous and so very hard to find. Lovely peachy complexion from head to toe. No green, splits, or discolorations. All nail and toe paint is intact. All hair intact in the original set with ribbon and original cellophane. It is a gorgeous dark red Eggplant color. Original wrist tag has never been removed. It says made in Japan on the back side. 1966 is written in the front of the box and the original light brown hair color sticker is intact on box end. Clear stand is included. Missing original cellophane otherwise like nrfb condition. This doll is a gem and would be the highlight to any doll collection. Confirmed address only please.
