VTG 1960s Ponytail Barbie #5 Brunette Doll & Dance Dress Made In Japan TLC Read
VTG 1960s Ponytail Barbie #5 Brunette Doll & Dance Dress Made In Japan TLC. This beautiful vintage doll is from 1961 and is a #5 Ponytail Barbie doll. She has a hollow torso, no holes in her feet, a slightly oily face, soft brunette hair and firmer more wiry bangs, Japan imprinted on her right foot, and the Barbie mark with Pat Pending by Mattel on her right butt cheek. I don’t think the dress is original Barbie, but it’s done in a similar style to Barbie dance dresses with a black velvet bodice, gold sash, and white and gold striped skirt. Very reminiscent of both of her iconic zebra swimsuits! While this doll is lovely and is in decent overall vintage condition, she could definitely use a little TLC and has a few flaws. She has general wear and scuff marks all over due to age and use. She has a crack starting on the left side of her neck at the bottom. She does NOT have green ear. Her torso has one small black dot on it. Her arms and legs have some dark discoloring. Her hair was extremely matted and tangled, so I fixed that but her hair is thinning at the top. Some of her face paint could use a refresh on the lips and eyelids and the left brow is starting to fade, but overall her face is in good shape. Finger and toe nail polish is fading. Tops and bottoms of feet have scuff marks and some discoloration. The gold sash on the dress is fraying on the back where the snaps meet. The dress has been laundered, however there are a few darker spots on the skirt of the dress on the front, but they blend in pretty well. Overall, she could be in worse shape! But she’d be an easy candidate for restoration with the right person. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions you might have about her condition! Lot includes doll and dress only as is! The plastic items have been cleaned with rubbing alchohol, including dolls and cases. 1960’s Vintage Barbie LEARNS TO COOK #1634 (1965), Complete, Original Mattel. Barbie’s original “LEARNS TO COOK” cotton dress is in ery good condition. The material is bright and clean, stain free, with the exception of light the age discoloration on the collar. Zero pulls or piling to the material. The original pink belt loops are secure. The original buttons are secure. The snaps are secure and functioning. Barbie’s original pink belt is in excellent condition. The button holes are the original size. The metal belt buckle retains its luster. The loop is secure. Full length; zero repairs. Barbie’s original light blue closed toe heels are in near mint condition. The color is non faded or darkened; absolutely stain free. Both heels are straight. Each shoe is stamped JAPAN. PLEASE NOTE: The heels are not spikes. Barbie’s original matching pot holder is in excellent condition. Stain free; zero repairs. Barbie’s original cook book made of cardboard is in near mint condition. The paper overlay is free of tears; stain free. Barbie’s original pots and lids are in good – excellent condition. Upon inspection minor wear to the finish can be seen. Barbie’s original toaster is functioning. The button that pops the toast up WORKS! Both pieces of toast are stain free. Barbie’s original toast is in excellent condition. Both are stain free. Barbie’s original mixing bowl is in excellent condition. Barbie’s original tea kettle is on very good condition. The original stopper is intact and functioning. THE SET IS ORIGINAL FROM THE 1960’S (ALL PIECES). THE BOOKLET IS NOT INCLUDED. All items are original Mattel from the 1960’s – 1970’s unless noted. Her coloring is bright but she has wear from past, is marked Ideal Toy, B B-12 on the back of her head. She has a small wrinkle on the back of her right heel. She comes with her original blue and white playsuit and white sneakers and tagged cream colored stand.. Tammy is 12 inches high. In addition she comes with the complete Dream Boat #9153-8 outfit (gold purse/ black date book / metal camera / dress & bolo jacket/ white squishy high heels / flower head band)this outfit is in good vintage condtion. The 1963 TAMMY A LITTLE GOLDEN ACTIVITY BOOK PAPER DOLL BOOK UNCUT AND COMPLETE. TAMMY A LITTLE GOLDEN ACTIVITY BOOK.. PAPER DOOL BOOK IS AUTHENTIC HARDCOVER FROM 1963 AND IS UNCUT AND COMPLETE its a #B. SEE IMAGES FOR CONDITION ALL PAGES PICTURED. The cover & back cover has a scratch and tape mark. The inside is clean and unmarked with all outfits and dolls present. The lot also includes a original Tammy Ideal product book. Please use the photos as part of the description.
