Antique Ichimatsu Boy Gofun Doll Japanese In Silk Layered Kimono. Possibly a friendship doll. Simply amazing doll in really wonderful condition. He stands approximately 13 1/2 tall with a gofun body, brown glass eyes, all fingers/toes intact, and paper label intact under his silk crape kimono with signature seal and calligraphy penmanship on his paper wrap on his waist. (See Photo) He has a working squeaker in his stomach/chest. He appears to be completely handmade as well as this beautiful garments appear to be hand stitched. The silk textile has lovely period geometric print and cranes with open wings. His Kimono is bright without rips or tears. It does have a discoloration in the back however, displayed it does not show at all. Beautifully hand painted hair with slight rubbing on the back, heavy lidded glass eyes, and a sweet indent under his chin. No chips, damage, or repairs. All painted fingers intact. Photos in description for your review. He has ear and nasal holes are distinct. He has nicely shaped ears. Very sweet antique doll that would make a wonderful addition to your doll collection.
