Here she is, our “Busy Gal” #3 Blonde Ponytail Barbie! She is a looker with all original make-up, a teense of blush and creamy pale coloring. Her hair has been retied into the original style with a hard curl at the ponytail bottom. She is in Excellent condition and comes with her original black and white swimsuit. Barbie has had a repair to 1 pinkie finger, and like most #3 dolls, she has a few other stray marks on her body, so she is not for a “Mint” collector. Barbie will come in a clear display box, so you can enjoy her dust-free. If you have a question that I haven’t answered in my description, please ask me. Barbie’s light blonde hair has loads of soft ringlet bangs. The ponytail hair was retied into the original style with a hard curl at the tail bottom. No missing hair plugs. She has faded quite a bit, but has a creamy ivory skin tone. Her make-up is all original and is classic’50s high glamour. Her full lips are tomato red, her brows are nice and dark, and she has some smokey gray eyeshadow. She has brown eyeliner. Her cheeks have just a hint of blush. She is wearing pearl on filament earrings, but she doesn’t have any earring discoloration. She has that crayon smell, but no bad odors or smoke smell. No neck tears or nose nips. Barbie’s body has faded pretty evenly to an ivory color, though she has a slightly darker bra strap mark across her back. However that pic makes the legs look darker on the calves and below than they really are. The legs are only slightly more flesh colored below the calves. I will also note her arms have slightly more flesh color to them, particularly on the backs of the arms. The right side of her butt is marked “Barbie TM, Pats Pend cMCMLVIII, by Mattel, Inc”. Her left butt cheek is marked B58. She has all of her nail polish, and all of her joints pose nicely. She had her right pinky finger repaired, you can see a close-up in pic #11. There is a slight bit of glue that hangs out of the repair, but I was afraid to remove it lest I ruin the repair. The pinky has been super-glued, and it seems like a pretty good repair. You won’t notice it unless you’re looking for it up real close. However, I would treat it with extra care. I would use caution when putting that arm through a sleeve, as sometimes the fingers catch in seams. And, if I were removing a glove from that hand, I would make sure to pull on the index finger part of the glove gently. Barbie’s left hand has some small poke marks on it, see the close-up pic #12. There are 5 marks on the top of her hand, and 1 on the palm. She has a couple of very faint pokes higher up on the same arm, they are almost unnoticeable. There is a blue speck on the front of her right thigh, see also pic #11. Also the inside of her left knee has a small circle mark 1/16 around that looks like something from the molding process. Barbie has a dark pinpoint speck on her left arm, and a couple fainter specks on her right arm. I notice 2 subtle small dimples on her right thigh. I don’t think those will bother you; most of the older solid vinyl bodies have unique marks from the molding process. Barbie’s original zebra swimsuit is in Excellent condition. It doesn’t have any holes or runs, and the elastic is still good at the top. It’s a little “aged” looking, and not bright white on the stripes.
