RARE 1961 Vintage Sable Brown BROWNETTE Bubble Cut Barbie Doll Org. S/S BIN

This rare Brownette Bubblecut Barbie looks like a movie star, and she definitely has a Garbo-like vibe! This beauty is hard to find; she is only the second one that I’ve ran across in 30+ years! Very few brownette Bubble Barbies were made, as it seems Mattel changed their plans partway through production. I think they made a mistake as this warm sable brown color looks quite lovely on Barbie. This beauty is from the estate of an adult collector, and she will come with her original black/white zebra swimsuit, and will arrive in a display box. The autumn haze mink coat and Pak gold lame sheath are not included in this sale, but they do look great on her. Barbie has a nice full bubble hair-do, with no missing plugs. Her hair is a warm brown sable color, not to be confused with raven black bubblecuts or the darker, later 1962 Fudge Brunette color. She has retouched make-up on her lips and brows. She doesn’t have any green ear, nose nips, or neck tears. Her Near Mint body has the older Barbie MCMLVIII marking on the right butt cheek, and is a hollow body. She has all of her nail polish, and her joints are tight. She has a small air bubble at the top of her right thigh, see close-up pic. There is a thin flap of vinyl over a pinhead size small hole in the thigh. There is a tiny dark speck on the back of her right calf; it is a pin point speck and doesn’t show up in the pics. Her original swimsuit is Near Mint; it’s clean and has great elastic at the top. Barbie will arrive in a clear plastic display box with a cardboard liner. This Brownette Bubblecut will be a rare unique doll to add to your collection! Rare #1 Vintage 1959 Barbie

A beautiful example of a 1959 #1 ponytail Barbie! She comes with her original swimsuit, shoes, booklet and sunglasses! She does not come with her original stand or the white stand pictured in the photos. She comes with an original Barbie carrying case. The carrying case is in overall good condition and the latch works. The flaw with Barbie is that the end of her ponytail appears to have been cut at some point. Other than being cut, her hair is in great shape on her actual head. One side of her sunglasses is also broken. Her body is very clean with no gouges! The copper tubing in her feet are perfect and are not bent in any way. Her makeup is original and has been alcohol tested. She does not have green ear, but is missing her original earrings. Barbie does not have any cracks and her limbs are tight as well as her neck. You will not be disappointed with this vintage Barbie! Please feel free to ask any questions or request more pictures!
