This is an absolutely gorgeous, original condition 1964-65 strawberry blonde Bubblecut Barbie doll wearing the beautiful Knitting Pretty #957 outfit from 1963 in blue! Barbie is ready for sweater weather right now! I did only a tiny touch up of Barbie’s black lash line where there was slight rub off of the paint. It was very minimal, because she was in amazing condition! I used acrylic paint. One original earring hole is a little further towards her cheek than the other one is (it’s in her ear lobe as expected), and this one is a bit of a slit rather than just a pin hole. Her lip color has faded and there is some loss of paint there, but it just gives her a lovely natural look. I resisted the urge to touch up her lips, but if you’d like me to do so, I will, using the original light coral color. Both of her wool sweaters were clearly loved by some moths over the years. I have repaired all of the holes to the best of my ability, and you will be able to see the repairs on the inside of the sweaters, but they look great from the outside. There is some pilling of the sweaters. Sadly, her pristine royal blue shoes split when I put them on her feet I did heat them up before putting them on and they still split, sorry! Both shoes say Japan on the bottom, so she’s got two left shoes, I guess. The wooden bowl looks good, but there is one ball of yarn missing. I’ve inserted nylon pearl “safety” earrings that won’t turn her head green. She has no nose nips, neck splits, or fingers missing. Some of her nail and toenail polish has faded or is missing. Her joints are tight. Smoke-free home, but her original owner is a pet lover, so you may find a hair or two, although I’ve done my best to remove any of that. Let me know if you have any questions or need more photos.
