VINTAGE BARBIE SKIPPER 1970 RE-ISSUE REISSUE PINK SKIN SL & YOUNG IDEAS DRESS & JAPAN SHOES FLATS. These reissue Skipper dols are very hard to find. The reissues Skippers were only available for one year from 1970 – 1971 timeframe. This one is really beautiful and is in great shape overall. She has a pink skin tone body vice the more tan skin tone of older Skipper dolls. Her eyes are more mod in design. Her lip color has faded to light pink. She has no cracks in her torso, There are no bite marks, no green, no gouges, and no chews on her body. Her arms and legs are firm and are not swingy. Her hair is a honey blonde and is very long and thick. I noted underneath the hair at the hairline some minor paling in one area – no green – just paling. You have to pull back/lift up the hair to see it. She is wearing a Young Ideas Dress which is in good shape overall. It has its original rick rack trim around the hem, and its original snap on the back. The ribbon ends have some fraying and there is an area on the back of the dress that needs to be cleaned. I don’t clean these vintage clothes. She is wearing white JAPAN flats/shoes. Note– clothes from Skipper’s Young Ideas line are not tagged except for the Coats.
