WOW Vintage Barbie Skipper Doll/box/clothes/access VG-EXC! A beautiful collection which includes. Blonde Skipper in VG original box with ORIGINAL gold stand/shoes/swimsuit (spot on the lower back)/brush/comb/booklet/headband – PLEASE NOTE the box liner and wrist tag and head cellophane are REPRODUCTION! I had a friend set her up like she would have been new. She comes with the following Skipper T. Clothing – B/W labels and snaps intact. Red Sensation #1901 is COMPLETE – the dress is somewhat limp – the hat has a few light marks and the straw brim is somewhat bent – the inside headband is intact – JAPAN red flats – white tricot socks and white short tricot gloves. DreamTime #1909 is COMPLETE and is Good-VG-EXC. Skating Fun #1908 is COMPLETE and is VG-EXC. HTF Rainy Day Checkers #1928 is just missing the checkers – the dress/vest/stockings are EXC and appear no play – the checkerboard is still in the cellophane package – black JAPAN flats. Flower Showers #1939 – the vinyl is still soft – the belt is missing its silver buckle – I have added JAPAN hot pink slouch boots to complete the set as I do not have the original hot pink boots. HTF Sweet Orange #3465 is COMPLETE with orange TAIWAN flats and also a pair of white TAIWAN flats – dress is VG. I have added another original swimsuit and a SKIPPER hangar. Welcome to allan’s attic! Today we have a Vintage 1962? Ash Blonde Ponytail Barbie Doll Fashion 850 Mattel Japan. This was an estate find and I’m not sure of her exact year. Based on other items with her I would definitely say very early 1960’s. The one side of her bum says the number 7 on it (i don’tknowif that means anything). Her earings have turned her green. She is very dirty and will need cleaning. I did not try to clean her. I would leave that up to a collector. She says japan on her foot (but is a bit worn) and so does the one shoe. The shoes do not have the holes in them. Her swimsuit is in great condition. Her hair is still in the original ponytail. The box has significant damage. There is a stand and book included but might not be her original ones because it was with a few others that were part of this estate lot. Vintage 1961 Ponytail Barbie Number #5 Original Swimsuit Brunette Read. Vintage Barbie number five has its original outfit, her ponytail is in its original wraps with the hard curl intact. The bottom rubber band is a replacement however. Her eyes and eyeshadow have faded to a lighter blue color. The rest of her face looks fantastic except for some slight fade at the end of one eyebrow please see photographs. She is in really great used condition, she has really nice fingernail and toenail paint as seen in photographs her lips are very nice and full her suit is original… But her glasses with the blue lenses are not original. This doll is my version of a Sun Sun Japanese Francie. Doll in the original box. This is truly a one of a kind doll. No one else will have one like her. If you own everything else Mattel ever made, this is surely something you don’t already have. For your consideration is a completely revamped vintage Francie Doll. She has the Malibu version 1965 Mattel, Inc U. Pend Made in Japan body. She has bendable legs. Her head has been dyed to match the malibu Francie body and her hair was removed and replaced with gorgeous deep brown hair like the sun sun Francie has. Her makeup has been revamped to match the Japanese version of the Sun Sun Japanese Francie doll. Cheek blush was added for that little touch of softness it brings. No neck splits, no nose nips. No swingy arms or legs. Although revamped, doll is STILL vintage and has wear consistent with age such as body scuffs, minor scratches and possible light stains. The correct vintage Sun Set Malibu Francie box will accompany her on the journey to you. She has been placed in the box and is ready for you to seal or leave open, I will leave that option up to you. I found the dress on a frozen leg Nancy Ann so this doll is a replacement doll. Let me tell you about her. She is marked Made in Japan (see photo). I have strung her with Nancy Ann molded socks and short arms. And her original top notch head is wigged with a Nancy Ann original wig. She has molded bangs and beautiful face paint. Ribbon is a replacement and is in a halo around her wig. Panties are original Nancy Ann international doll panties. This little cutie is the darling size of the Japan dolls a little shorter than the pudgy tummy dolls. The RARE dress is in great condition, no holes or tears. The blue has a little fading and I dont know if the gold ribbon was originally red or always gold. Overall this is a marvelous find for any collector of NANCY ANN. Her face paint looks to be sort of messy around the eyes and lips. Please keep in mind that the doll itself is a Made in Japan and is a replacement doll. The DRESS is original Nancy Ann. If someone has an original Nancy Ann Japan 1146 or Japan with FAN or Japan, rather than Made in Japan, This is a bargain dress! The dress also looks darling on any other Nancy Ann doll. Personally, I have been collecting Nancy Ann for about 15 years and my grandmother and aunt worked in the factory in San Francisco. I think this little one has beautiful face paint, but you are correct in noting that the Made in Japan dolls have a “different” look. To me this one’s face looks a bit like the Made in Japan babies.
