This is the Vintage Queen: The Coveted #1 Brunette Barbie Ponytail. Her face has been repainted (brows, eyes, lips) by the incomparable Lolaxs with added blush, and its hard to believe it is not original. She has an early, clearly defined nipple #1 body marked Barbie TM. The last picture shows the two rods sticking out of the holes on the bottom of her feet. Its flesh tone is fairly uniform between torso, arms, and legs. There are a few very pale brownish spots on her upper left arm, right calf, and right thigh. Very faded and small. Her arms and legs are all tight at their joints, nothing swingy. Retouched finger and toe nail paint. There is a very teeny nick out of her left arm hole and a surface gouge near her right buttocks. Neither is significant and have no effect on the legs or arms movement back and forth. She has a fairly typical body in terms of wear and tear over her 62 years. I do have another #2 brunette with very long hair, like this girl. The retied ponytails elastic is dried and cracking. Her nearly black bangs have two rows of multiple soft curls. This is a fabulous early ponytail. The nipple body is particularly hard to find. Because of the new face paint which places her exact provenance into question, she is priced very competitively.
