The dress is in no-play condition – crisp & clean. However, there’s yellow age discoloration (on the front and back of the white collar and on the back of the skirt – top left, photo #6). VTG Barbie #4 Ponytail Brunette Sheath Sensation #986 Dress Purse Shoes Necklac

Beautiful vintage #4 Ponytail Barbie doll (brunette, 1960, TM body) dressed in her tagged Mattel “Sheath Sensation” #986 ensemble (1961-64) with accessories. Authentic early Ponytail #4 Barbie with TM-marked body and “Barbie®” script stamp. Brunette hair, blue eyeshadow, red lips. Retains most of her original red fingernail polish; no toenail polish as issued. Body is solid with no loose limbs. Shows light vintage wear: faint scuffs on calves, very tiny straight pin pricks in chest area (common on early dolls), and tiny factory ear starter holes. Face paint shows a trace of lipstick missing on upper lip, and eyelash paint could use touch-up if desired. Outfit details (all authentic Mattel). Tagged red Sheath Sensation dress (#986, 1961-64). Matching red vinyl clutch purse with faux pearl accent. Pearl necklace on wire strand (original Mattel accessory used in multiple early Barbie evening fashions). Shoes: Includes a pair of authentic 1960s Mattel red open-toe heels marked Japan. Note: The original Sheath Sensation set came with white heels – the red shoes included here are vintage Mattel but not the original shoes for this fashion. The doll and accessories are in very good vintage condition.

Vintage Midge Barbie Doll 1962 Mattel Brunette with Red Sheath Dress & Cape

This listing is for a vintage Midge/Barbie doll c. With original outfit and accessories. Patented on the rear. Brunette hair in updo, blue eyes, painted lashes, light blue eyeshadow. Limbs and joints move well. Some surface wear and light discoloration consistent with age. Outfit: Original red sheath dress with matching navy blue cape (Barbie by Mattel label inside). Dress has functioning snaps. Includes a pair of red open-toe mules. Doll shows light playwear, minor facial paint fading, and some speckling on face. Hair is mostly intact, slightly mussed. Clothes are clean, show minor age-related fading and creasing. Shoes are in very good vintage condition. Vintage 1960 Mattel #3/4 Barbie Brunette Ponytail Blue Eyeliner Fur Coat & Dress

Vintage 1960 Mattel #3/4 Barbie W/Brunette Ponytail blue eyes and blue eyeliner. This Barbie comes all decked out in apple dress and CMO fur coat. Her accessories are black open toed heels, Roman Holiday red headband. She has a pair of safety pearl earrings. The iconic zebra striped swimsuit is also included. The facial features are well painted. Toenails and fingernails are well painted. The hair is nicely done. The bangs are curly and the ponytail ends in a solid curl. The ears are very nice. There is a slight green tinge in the earring post holes. Not noticeable with earrings in the ears. Her body is solid and in great shape. There are a few scratches on her back and chest. Looks like through normal wear and tear. There are a couple of pin dots on her breast and back. Not sure what they are from. Her markings contain TM on her buttocks. There is a 10 and Japan on the bottom of her foot. The arms and legs move smoothly and hold a pose. All her clothes and accessories are is great shape. I couldn’t find any flaws. Barbie is such a beautiful doll and she looks so much better in person. I know you will agree when you see her. She will make a great addition to any collector’s collection.
