This listing is for a collection of vintage dolls and clothes with carrying cases from the Barbie product line. These items come from a single owner who has had the collection since their childhood in the 1960s. Pleas read below for information on this unique collection and please reach out for more details on specific items. Dolls and clothes are stored in vintage vinyl cases made by Ponytail. Cases are damaged but still in working/acceptable condition. Smaller black case has a sticker on the back, hole in the front and back of the vinyl where the owner ran a bar through the case to make it into a hanging closet, and has black marker on several parts of the artwork on the front. The interior is missing the mirror and has writing on the top piece. Large blue “Barbie and Ken” case also has a damaged carrying handle and wear on the vinyl but is in better condition than the smaller black case. Some of the artwork on one side has some black marker on it (the blue dressed woman). Dolls are a 1962 “Bubble Cut” Midge and 1960s Ken. Dolls are in overall good condition with some wear on the painted areas but limbs are movable and unbroken. Included is an alternate head and wigs (with stand) from the “Barbie Fashion Queen” set. Doll head has some green discoloration from custom earrings that were inserted into the doll’s ears. Wig stand has one wig broken from the stand and all three wigs seem to be stuck to their stands. Dolls include a large selection of clothing pieces and accessories from various outfit sets from the Barbie line in the 1960s, some pieces use real fur. Some outfit pieces included are “Masquerade”, “American Airlines”, “Swan Lake”, and “Barbie Baby Sits”. Also included is a unique collection of clothes and accessories hand-made by the owner’s mother, a German seamstress who also worked for a furrier, allowing her the skills, and access to smalls scraps, to make one-of-a kind clothing and accessories for her daughter’s dolls, including handbags, gowns, and dresses. Dolls and accessories (like the microphone and skiing equipment) will be wrapped in bubble wrap.
