Gorgeous vintage antique composition Oriental itchimatsu doll. She has composition legs, arms and face i think her body is wooden but the clothes are original and they have never been removed so it is difficult to see the body. She has little glass eyes and real hair. She measures: 31cm high. She is in good condition she has a very small chip to her nose, and her clothes are a little dirty but this is through age and because they have never been removed. Overall a lovely doll which will only increase in value over the years. There are eight excellent and lovely vintage original Barbie/Mattel Dolls; with appropriate stamps; and indented markings etc. All but one doll comes wearing a vintage original swim suits, all dolls do have. Japan open toe mule heels. (One Pak black tagged jumpsuit w/a few teeny holes in fabric). No split, no stains, neck all fingers/toes, polish, tight limbs. Please read descriptions and see photo’s showing any slight issues. Two- TM stamped solid/heavy body Ponytail Barbie’s, both have a tish of green inside piercing site. One #3/4 Brunette (needs hair restyled). One #4/5 Blonde (needs hair restyled, pinpoint spot on lower thigh, please see pic). Two-Barbie R stamped one Titian Bubble Cut w/ w/light scratches in plastic on side of /chest see pic. /teeny pin hole in one nipple w/excellent tagged red helenca suit. Brunette long ponytail needs hair restyled, faded lip color. Four Midge/Barbie stamped one Platinum Blonde Swirl Ponytail (discoloration/pale green hue at ear). One #6 Honey Wheat Blonde Ponytail a few pinpoint marks on one foot near toes. American Girl (w/tagged minty -minty original striped swim suit). See pic’s/pin holes, indentations in feet, discoloration spots lower legs. But, minty Hair, face, make up swim suit, heels. One Redhead Bubble Cut. (gorgeous but face has darkened). There is vintage excellent tagged clothing, accessories, Japan Boxes, two wire stands, newer doll display. Boxes, hangers, a classic Vintage Barbie original light blue Ponytail carrying case by Mattel. Exceptions/issues; A few vintage Barbie friend items. A small Lot of single open toe mule heels unmarked, mostly. Black, a few hot pink. A Lot of Barbie size beautiful color ball Christmas ornaments. Magnificence gown has a tiny faint spot on inside satin tail. (Tried to show in picture). Open Road hat has tiny holes in red chiffon. Tlc graduated faux pearl necklace and fur trimmed headpiece. Stunning Vintage 1959 Pale Blonde # 2 Ponytail Barbie TM 850 Japan MIB. All original, no repainting or retouching. Nice even soft ivory pink complexion from head to toe. From what I’ve read, this is a trait of the early dolls that circulated Southern California only? She does not have the holes in the bottom of the feet, as this is the # 2 Ponytail. Beautiful blonde factory hair set with original top knot. The bottom band disintegrated but the hair still retains the original shape, never brushed or tampered with. It is interesting to note that the bangs are rolled under instead of the more commonly seen poodle curls. This hairstyle was very popular in the 1950s. It has a certain Audrey Hepburn / Debbie Reynolds inspiration to it. No hair cuts or rerooting. This may have been a store display doll or used for promotional purposes? Original gold hoop earrings. No green ears or discolorations. Makeup is factory original and just stunning! Beautiful bright blue eye shadow, black eyeliner, and cherry red lipstick, that was ever so popular in the 1950s. Original black and white striped maillot swimsuit, blue / white cat eye sunglasses, and black open toe shoes with holes in the bottom (marked Japan), in mint condition. Booklet showcasing all of the fashions and accessories of 1959. Cherry red nails and toe nails. Barbie TM mark on derriere. Black Pedestal stand with Barbie T. No chips or cracks. There are two round circles on the top of the pedestal where the prongs would have been placed for the # 1 stand. This is definitely a factory mark, not a flaw. M Box with the early fashions of 1959 depicted. Beautiful bright graphics including Gay Parisienne, Easter Parade, and Evening Splendor, among others. Excellent condition, one corner has a split. Original tissue paper inside. Bottom is marked Blonde. Original price sticker intact. Barbie and all of her original accessories are in superb condition for a doll of this age. She does have some minor surface scratches to the body which all vintage Barbie dolls have. The body has the lovely crayon smell all the first three ponytail dolls are reputed to have. There is a light stain from the shoes that many of the ponytail dolls have after years of wearing their shoes. It is however a great indication of a vintage doll. You’d be hard pressed to find a nicer example in all original condition. There may only be a handful of these dolls out there in existence (with this particular hairstyle and rare pink complexion + all of the original accessories and box) making her a true rarity in the Barbie collecting world.
