This beautiful doll comes with her original box, original black and white zebra striped swimsuit, white cats-eye sunglasses with blue lens, 1960 Barbie Fashion Booklet, and pearl stud earrings. Size: Approximately 11.5 tall. Hair: Blond hair is soft and uncut with poodle curls; hard curl at the end of the ponytail has loosened; original elastic band was removed due to disintegration. Hair needs to be restyled. Face: She has a lovely face with all the face paint untouched and original, blue eyes and blue eye shadow, light brown eyebrows, deep colored eye lashes. There is some paint loss on her red lips and eyelashes. She has some green around each of the ears that has been treated. Body: Her body is in good shape for her age. Body is heavy solid rubbery that smells like crayons. Her skin color is flesh tone. Indented lines on hips. Her red fingernail and toenail polish is 80%, mostly missing on the toenails. Arms, legs and hips are snug and tight. Her body has no visible marks, chips, neck splits, nose nips, uncut hair, no chews on fingers or toes. Original earrings have been removed but included. Her right hip (from the doll’s back) is marked: Barbie R, Pats Pend, CMCMLVIII, by Mattel Inc. Very difficult to read marking on the butt. Box: Box reads: Model 850, Box Date 1959 (Gay Parisienne fashion). Box is in good vintage condition for its age with one split corner and some spots on the inside lid and box bottom.
