I never messed with her hair much, and it is in pretty good condition. I think the bottom. Rubber band is a replacement, and there are some loose strands from what is wound around. Stored for 60 years in smoke free, pet free home. I had boys so a second generation did not play with the dolls. My boys have no children so a third generation did not play with the dolls.
