This stunning VINTAGE OOAK 1960s #4 BRUNETTE PONYTAIL BARBIE #850 WITH HANDMADE OUTFIT has been cleaned & restored. Her body is made of rubber and not plastic as was standard beginning with #5 Barbies. Her eyes and eyeliner appear original. Her lipstick, blush, eyeshadow, eyebrows and eyelashes have been retouched or repainted. I used artist soft pastels for her blush and eyeshadow and acrylic paint for the remainder of her makeup. Her nails have been retouched. Her bangs are original and approximately 2/3 of her hair has been re-rooted, then styled and hard curled. Her hair has some broken ends and flyaways. She has no pin holes, no green ear, no chew marks, no nose nips, no head splits. Her arms/legs move as intended. She may have a few superficial scrapes /scratches, light staining & superficial dents on her body as expected for a 60-year-old doll. Her ensemble was handcrafted by me and includes the following. White sleeveless cotton dress with red cherry print, red ruffles in front. The bodice is lined with white Tully and the back is secured with snaps. Red cotton belt with red satin rose secured with one snap. Red 3/4 sleeve cuffed cotton bolero jacket lined with matching dress fabric. One pair of white nylon gloves. Red and white single strand necklace with silver hook closure, matching earrings and two bracelets. Red plastic shoes with a white flower on top of each shoe. Cotton hat with matching dress fabric topped with a red ruffle, red and white satin flowers and a red satin bow. Faux leather red purse with white flower and beaded shoulder strap. Purse does not open. She has a tiny nick on her right upper lip and some black dots on her body. Her head arms and legs are a bit darker than her torso. I have been repairing & restoring Barbies for over 20 years & spend many hours on each Barbie. I do my best to describe all flaws & repairs but may have missed something so please examine the pictures closely and ask questions as my vision is not as good as it used to be.
