Watanbe originally trained as a traditional Kokeshi master and later moved to creative Kokeshi dolls. Watanbe is known as one of the most influential and prominent creative Kokeshi artists! He won the prestigious prime minister award and also presented the Beatles with his dolls in 1965. The name of this doll is “Naughty Child”. The doll is in great shape with some light scuffs in keeping with its age.
