Vintage 1960s Mattel Barbie Ponytail Brunette #5 Restored OOAK Repaint Holiday

Vintage 1962 Mattel Barbie #850 Ponytail #5 or #6 Brunette Doll with Straight Legs. / Japan on the right foot. She is fully washed and cleaned. Used, played with condition, some scratches/nicks on the body, some minor body staining, no chew/bite marks, no missing fingers or toes, no split neck, arms and legs yellowing, slightly spread legs. Her face was in very poor condition (missing nose tip, eyelids and a small piece of one ear). I tried my best to reconstruct and recolor her face, but she is obviously nowhere near perfect condition (please check before and after photos). I repainted her face and changed her eye color as well as her nail paint. Her hair was not cut, hairstyle was reset, she has some broken hair and flyaways. She is wearing a vintage green dress from 2000 Holiday Surprise Barbie #27290, a white fur stole from 2004 Barbie Zodiac Pink Label Collector, a pair of repro silver open toed heels, a modern iridescent white clutch bag and a pair of silver stud earrings. The stand is not included. I try my best to describe and photograph used items, but I may miss something. Check out my other dolls listings!

Vintage Barbie Doll PONYTAIL BLONDE #5 ORIGINAL BOX Swimsuit Stand NO GREEN 1961

THIS LISTING is for a WONDERFUL VINTAGE BARBIE #5 BLONDE PONYTAIL FROM 1961. PLEASE VIEW PHOTOS AND READ THE DESCRIPTION BELOW. Feel free to ASK QUESTIONS! THIS BEAUTIFUL #5 has CURLY BANGS AND TOP KNOT PONYTAIL WITH ORIGINAL BAND and original bottom band and hard curl! There are a few fly away hairs but shis not missing any hair plugs. It is rare to see these dolls with the original hard curl and original band. Her scalp is slightly oily/greasy as is her face, which is a true sign of a #5 Barbie ponytail. Her makeup is all original (no touch ups) and she has most of her ORIGINAL red FINGERNAIL AND red TOENAIL POLISH. One brow has a slight rub (common with the greasy face dolls), but otherwise her makeup is very nice. SHE HAS ONE EARRING HOLE on her left ear, one earring hole on her right ear, and one tiny pin prick on her right ear. She has NO GREEN EAR EVER! , no neck splits, nose nips, etc. It’s so hard to find a #5 without green ear! All joints are tight and hold a pose with no issues. Her legs could use some cleaning, but overall she is in very good condition for a doll that’s 63 years old! The markings on her behind read Barbie R/Pats. Which are the correct markings for a #5. Also included ARE her original box THAT has the “blonde ponytail” sticker ON THE END TAB, black and white swimsuit, ORIGINAL black WIRE STAND, original black OPEN-TOE “JAPAN” SHOES, WHITE SUNGLASSES and pink barbie & Ken booklet. As shown in the photos, two corners of the top of the box have splits and are taped. There is some ink scribble on the top of the box, and on the end tab, written in black marker, is what appears to be the name of the original owner “ann smith” (I think)! This BARBIE will make an excellent addition to any collection! Please see my other vintage nrfb/mib dolls, clothing and accessories. Vintage Ooak #4 Raven Black Haired Ponytail Barbie

This stunning VINTAGE OOAK #4 RAVEN BLACK HAIRED PONYTAIL BARBIE WITH A RUBBER BODY has been modified to enhance her beauty. The earlier #4 Barbies were marked with a TM and the later #4 Barbie’s were marked with an ®. Her body is made of rubber and not plastic as was standard beginning with #5 Barbies. I do not know if her body is a TM or an ® as it has rubbed off. Her makeup and nails have been retouched or repainted utilizing acrylic paint. Her bangs are original and her ponytail is a partial reroot. Her hair has been hard curled, styled and lightly sprayed to hold the curls. She has no chew marks, no nose nips, no head splits, no pinpricks. Her arms/legs move as intended. She has some scrapes, scratches, staining & dents on her body as expected for a 60-year-old doll. There is a nick on her left buttocks. She has a small amount of green ear which has been treated but some discoloration remains. She has the usual dents in her upper legs which occurs during manufacturing when attaching the legs to the torso. Stand is not included. I have been repairing & restoring Barbies for over 25 years & spend many hours on each Barbie. I do my best to describe all flaws & repairs but may have missed something so please examine the pictures closely and ask questions as my vision is not as good as it used to be. Vintage Barbie Ponytail #4/5 Brunette (1960) Restored

1960 Vintage brunette Barbie #4/5. Been hard to determine which model as this was a transitional period and the tm or R marking is not legible (see pic). She has been restored, including lip and fingers/toes paint touch ups, and a ponytail reset with some hair added to replace lost hair. She also has the very rare painted legs. I cleaned them up some but I know some collectors don’t like them repainted. No green ear and I keep nylon earrings in. This was one of my first in my collection but it’s time to pare it down some as we are moving. Please ask any and all questions! If you need an additional picture, let me know. This is not a “mint” never-played-with doll. It’s 64 years old and is fantastic condition for a 64 year old doll.

VTG 1960s Ponytail Barbie #5 Brunette Doll & Dance Dress Made In Japan TLC Read

VTG 1960s Ponytail Barbie #5 Brunette Doll & Dance Dress Made In Japan TLC. This beautiful vintage doll is from 1961 and is a #5 Ponytail Barbie doll. She has a hollow torso, no holes in her feet, a slightly oily face, soft brunette hair and firmer more wiry bangs, Japan imprinted on her right foot, and the Barbie mark with Pat Pending by Mattel on her right butt cheek. I don’t think the dress is original Barbie, but it’s done in a similar style to Barbie dance dresses with a black velvet bodice, gold sash, and white and gold striped skirt. Very reminiscent of both of her iconic zebra swimsuits! While this doll is lovely and is in decent overall vintage condition, she could definitely use a little TLC and has a few flaws. She has general wear and scuff marks all over due to age and use. She has a crack starting on the left side of her neck at the bottom. She does NOT have green ear. Her torso has one small black dot on it. Her arms and legs have some dark discoloring. Her hair was extremely matted and tangled, so I fixed that but her hair is thinning at the top. Some of her face paint could use a refresh on the lips and eyelids and the left brow is starting to fade, but overall her face is in good shape. Finger and toe nail polish is fading. Tops and bottoms of feet have scuff marks and some discoloration. The gold sash on the dress is fraying on the back where the snaps meet. The dress has been laundered, however there are a few darker spots on the skirt of the dress on the front, but they blend in pretty well. Overall, she could be in worse shape! But she’d be an easy candidate for restoration with the right person. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions you might have about her condition! Lot includes doll and dress only as is!
