#4 Barbie – Vintage 1960 Doll w/Blonde Ponytail, Swimsuit, Sunglasses, And Heels. Im the Original owner of this beautiful 4th Mattel Barbie – Very Good Condition – H11.5. A new type of plastic was used for the #4 Barbie dolls, so that it didnt fade like the #3 dolls.. Her body is still solid which differentiates her from the #5 Barbie doll which was the first hollow doll.. She still has the slight smell of crayons if you go right up to her, just like the #3 doll. She is an improved version of #3. She has Blue eyes, light brown eyebrows, blue eye shadow. Her red lips are worn off, but her red finger and toe nail polish are still on except for, maybe, one toe. She has no green coloring. She may be a transitional doll, since her legs have more of a yellowish tone than the rest of her body.. She has indented lines on both of her hips just like the #3 Barbie dolls do. She has a few small marks on her, and she needs a cleaning. Her Right cheek says. Vintage 1960’s Barbie Doll #4 Blond Pony Tail Black and White Swimsuit Mattel. I believe her to be the #4 Barbie Doll from my research. On her bum it reads. And Her bottom right foot is marked Japan. Barbie has normal wear to her body, her leg are a bit darker from the rest of her body dirt staining perhaps. She also has a smal mark on her upper chest. 2 piece lot is for Barbie Doll and her Swimsuit. Her Black and White Bathing Suit has a Small Hole in the Front. Vintage BRUNETTE SWIRL PONYTAIL BARBIE IN ORIGINAL RED HELENCA SWIMSUIT

Barbie has a beautiful face. Her lips were faded and had paint loss so a light color wash was added for display but it could use another touch up as it is starting to fade. She has no neck splits and no nose nips but was treated for green ear. A bit of green remained as shown so was color washed for display. Color wash can be removed with soap and water if desired. Her hair is full and uncut with no missing hair plugs, just needs styling. The yellow ribbon in hair is not original. She’s on a Midge/Barbie straight leg body in good condition with some fingernail and toenail polish visible. She could use a gentle cleaning to remove light ink? Spots here and there on legs. 1965 Vintage Barbie AMERICAN GIRL #1070 Blonde swimsuit & shoes withhomemade box

Note: BOX IS A HOMEMADE VERSION FOR DISPLAY. You dont see these every day! Why not treat yourself or surprise the vintage Barbie lover in your life? Mattel initially called this doll the” Bendable Leg” Barbie rather than the “American Girl” Barbie. But because of her page-boy style hair, it was eventually changed to the American Girl. This is a Beautiful, Blonde American Girl Barbie doll in Good condition complete with the original outfit/shoes. The black wire stand is not correct for this doll (should be brass), but is included. Box is a SCAN of an original I have and is a HOME-MADE by hand version (not vintage, but nice for display). The doll is not perfect, but very lovely and displays well. An affordable version of this more difficult to find Barbie. Pend Made In Japan with the number 6 on the left side cheek. The face paint looks excellent with no loss that I can detect. The earring holes have some faint greening tinge (see close ups) but dont stand out and hasnt spread any in the many years we have owned her. Most of the fingernail paint is intact. No touch-ups or alterations. The hair is in nice shape and has not been cut or altered in any way. Arms and legs are tight and move/pose well. Both legs have some chipping/poke marks on them. Not sure what might have caused this? There are 2 dark spots on the calf on the left leg. The original one-piece striped swim-suit is tagged with fabric tag, Barbie & Japan and is in excellent shape. The turquoise open-toe heels are very good marked Japan on one sole. She is a truly lovely example of the American Girl doll, as you can see from the photographs, and our pricing reflects the flaws described. She would be a wonderful addition to any vintage, Barbie collection! American Girl Barbie 1965 1967. And, she wasn’t the only one that got bendable legs that year; so did Ken, Allan, Midge and Skipper. Barbie had blue eyes, various lip colors, and a choice of light blonde, ash blonde, yellow blonde, titian/red, brunette, platinum blonde hair colors. Most American Girl dolls had a shorter page-boy style haircut, but there are some harder to find dolls with bubble cut, side-part, and longer middle-part styles. These dolls sell for more on the secondary market. Some of these rare dolls came with high color faces as well. The first issue dolls had indented intaglio markings (like Miss Barbie), but the later issue dolls came with the raised intaglio marks on her bottom. She’s sure a beauty, and one of my favorites! Pend Made In Japan. Included with the doll in the box were her one-piece striped swim-suit, turquoise open-toe heels, gold wire stand and booklet. Vintage STUNNING EARLY #4 PONYTAIL BARBIE SOLID HEAVY TM BODY ORIGINAL SWIMSUIT

Barbie has a stunning face that is fuller like the #3 faces with original face paint that has been alcohol tested. Her lips are blood red and darker in some areas. Eyebrows could use a touch of paint on ends. She has whitish spots on both cheeks. She has no neck splits and no nose nips but has green ear at both ears. Her scalp is flocked and her hair is shiny and lovely. It has a band still in hair that is disintegrating and needs to be removed. Not sure if end of ponytail was trimmed or not. Her original solid heavy body is in nice display condition marked, Barbie T. PATS PEND MCMLVIII BY MATTEL, INC. With most of her original fingernail and toenail polish. She has the mold marks on sides of hips as shown that these heavy bodies commonly came with. She could use a gentle cleaning. The swimsuit is nice for display, just needs a gentle soak. One shoe is marked JAPAN and has a split starting on strap and one shoe is marked HONG KONG. A shoe box and hanger are included. A wonderful addition to any vintage Barbie collection! Vintage Standard Barbie in Roses Box, Swimsuit

This is a Vintage Standard Barbie in her coveted Roses Box, with matching hot pink swimsuit with white vinyl flower embellishment. The doll is in near mint condition with shiny ash blonde hair that looks untouched and adorned with a matching hot pink ribbon. Lovely face with blush and hot pink lipstick. Her bangs sweep over her forehead over her eyebrows. This swimsuit has a little surface dirt but no stains that I can see. The plastic flower is intact and no open seams. Her box has some wear at the seams but none have come undone nor are any taped. The inside of her box contains the old cardboard liner and the original copper wire stand. She must have been stored in the box for some time since she has a small stain under each arm pit from the upper part of the stand. She also has her dark pink Barbie wrist tag (detached).
