This living skipper doll, made in Japan rather than Taiwan, is very hard to find. She is the version of living skipper with pale blonde hair with tighter, smaller buns. She has a slightly different face than the other version of living skipper. Her rear is marked Japan. This version made in Japan was included in the sears very best velvet set. Her velvet fashion is not included. Skipper is in nearly mint condition with a very peachy pink complexion. She has vibrant face paint, perfect lashes. Her hair is in the original style, perfectly neat, with the original bands and ribbons tied in factory bows. Her knees bend and hold as if I was the first person, today, to bend them when I checked them. Her waist is nice and tight. Her arms do not bend at the elbows. Wrists bend and pose. She is nearly mint and looks unplayed with. There are a few minor things to mention: she has a spot that has slightly paled near the rim of her head (see pic). Surprisingly, she has one pin poke on top of each foot (see pic) which makes no sense because she looks like she just came out of her box. She is a lovely doll.
