A very rare, original short hair brunette Barbie doll wearing a snap-back one piece black swimsuit. I’ve done a little research and believe this is the American Girl Barbie made in 1965-66. Kaiser Chicago stand included. I have enhanced the butt mark to show greater detail, but most flaws are not noticeable to the naked eye. Butt marked in small raised letters: c1958, Mattel, Inc, US Patented, US Pat Pend, Made in Japan. Both legs bend & straighten smoothly at the knees. Both underarms have hidden impressed mold marks. Holes on the bottoms of both feet – right foot impressed “Japan”. Face and arms are tanned darker than the rest of her body. Lips are pale. Eye color is still very nice.
