Vintage 1965 Barbie AMERICAN GIRL DOLL WEARING “BEAUTIFUL BRIDE” COMPLETE. This is a Beautiful Titian American Girl doll in her beautiful “Dream” Wedding dress. The dress is not mint but it is very nice and I. Will describe what I see as faults. The side seam is fraying slightly, the back tulle sleeves have a small tear on each side. The slip and veil are near mint, the dress is clean and bright. She is missing a toe it looks like, but is covered by her original Japan. White heels which are hard to find. She is carrying the original bouquet which is in fair to good condition. Veil it is not visible. The whole outfit displays very well. She is so beautiful and soft and real looking. Vintage Barbie No. 850 #3 Barbie Ponytail Brunette with #983 Enchanted Evening

This lovely doll comes from the Charles Mo collection, and was acquired from his estate following his passing in 2019. For more information on Charles Mo, please scroll further down. This #3 doll features blue eyeliner, and hair that has been restyled into a bun (forgive me, I don’t know the exact name of this style). She’s in wonderful original condition with no obvious signs of having been played with and no ear greening. The clothing is in great shape overall as well, although the earrings are missing the dangling diamonds. A handkerchief is included as well, but it does have light stains. The dress is very nice as well, with only minor imperfections. Overall, a fantastic early Barbie that’ll fit into any discerning collector’s collection. The Late Charles Mo was Curator of the Mint Museums’ Fashion Collection & Longest Serving Director of Fine Arts Mr. Mo’s accomplishments in the world of Fashion span more than his 30 years tenure in the museum world. Charles built the fashion collection of the Mint to over 10,000 articles of couture clothing, millinery, shoes, fans and jewelry by the time of his retirement in 2013. He is remembered for his fashion exhibits, including Life & Legend, CHANEL: Designs for the Modern Woman, Fashionable Silhouettes, and Dior, Balmain, Saint Laurent: Elegance & Ease. Vintage barbie ponytail blond 1959 #1 with TM box, original TM Stand

1st 1959 VINTAGE BLOND PONYTAIL BARBIE. This barbie’s color is not ivory or pale. She has a beautiful cream color – better than I can probably photograph. A little deeper where the swimsuit is. Solid, tight joints, nothing loose. Very tiny factory blemish (birthmark) on upper left arm as shown. Two pintip dots, one on left front leg above knee & other on left back leg below butt – barely seen. Hair – Her blond ponytail hair appears NOT to have been redone or cut. Still has original topknot & beautiful, uncombed, poodle bangs. Bottom of her uncombed blond ponytail has her original plastic band, but is disintegrating (after 60 years). Face – perfect, creamy, uniform color. Eyes are side-glancing w/white irises, thick black eyeliner w/blue liner above. Her eyebrows are very prominently arched. Original goldtone hoop earrings w/ NO green ears! Ruby red lipstick matches her manicured finger & toe nails. Barbie model: – Left tush, has a number 27. Right tush, Barbie – PATS PEND – C (inside a circle) MCMLVIII – BY -MATTEL – INC. Feet – They have the usual stains from high heels. She has metal rods inside both feet which fit perfectly over the raised prongs of her circular, black, plastic stand. There is a tiny tear in the inside of her foot by one opening, on bottom of FOOT, but it does not inhibit her from standing solidly on her stand at all (No wobble). Stand prongs are solid & steadfast. One has been replaced. Marked on top – Barbie TM – BY MATTEL. Marked on bottom – JAPAN – MATTEL – M (LOGO) – INTERNATIONAL R (inside a circle). Stand prongs fit & match her feet perfectly as stated. It is not a reproduction. Swimsuit – Dressed in her one-piece, black & white, zebra-striped, strapless swimsuit. Sunglasses – She has her 1950’s white, cats-eye, slanted, Hollywood-style sunglasses w/blue lenses – still tight & intact. Booklet – Complete, no bends, no dogears, minor cover rubbing, lays flat. Box – Solid, sturdy box. Colors are sharp & bright, no fading. No dents or scratches. Top has a superficial, indentation on the front (as shown) that doesn’t fall thru to the inside – you really have to look to make it out. All edges & corners are sharp & tight except one edge on the bottom (as shown) that has some splitting, but not apart, it is still tight & firm. ALL advertising as seen plus – Stock No 850 – BLOND – JAPAN. Her nose – under a 10X loupe, looks like it has a slight rub, like it was bumped? Might be a very slight nose nip. Vintage Trade In Barbie With Box Dark Brunette

Vintage dark brunette Trade in Barbie with original box, plastic sheath and booklet. No earrings or holes but to me the face is very slightly darkening – see closeups. Original plastic hair covering is in place with original hair tie. Wrist tag is there but barely hanging on due to a tear – see closeup photo. One arm is slightly swingy in the down position. Looks like she has full original fingernail and toenail polish. Box is in decent shape with shelf wear and one flap missing at the top and is marked with the correct hair color.
