Vintage Barbie Sears Exclusive ” Hostess Set ” from 1965, complete, excellent, beautiful! Has been stored away for many years in plastic bags and tissue. All pieces are in mostly excellent condition. Flaws that I see, mostly typical for these pieces: gold belt has deteriorated a bit with age, and has some creases from being folded at one time. Red chiffon sleeves of red pantsuit are thinning over shoulders, but still overall good condition – still has most of its original inspection tag in tact. One of the pink candles has slight pink rubbed in one small area, and can see thin blue area from underneath paint. The foam cakes have some of their edges gone, but still overall good shape with icing’paint’. Rare pink cups have their original handles and the pink shades match – they haven’t faded to orange pink like many do. The white paper doile is in exceptional condition and has the 2 needle holes from being sewn to the backing card. Blue record label has prior discoloration from being taped inside original package. Original silver utensils have darkened slightly with age, but this proves they are original vintage. Please note that the rare original record player has “Japan” stamped on the bottom. Bowl of flowers in excellent to near mint condition. Silver tray is clean overall and looks almost new. Clear glitter open toe heels are excellent with almost all their glitter.
