This cute 19 Doll dressed as a sailor boy was imported from Japan by Morimura Brothers. During WW1 German dolls were not available for sale in the USA. This company supplied dolls resembling German Dolls from 1915 – 1926. The bisque head is marked with MB, Japan, 4. No chips, cracks or hairlines or wig pulls. Blue Stationary eyes with painted lower lashes. Blonde Human Hair Wig. The ball-jointed composition body has been repainted and is in very good condition other than some slight damage to the neck area (please see picture). The doll is dressed in newer sailor style clothes which were popular for children and dolls during the early 1900’s. The white leather doll shoes are the German-style doll shoe with the broader toe area. From a smoke-free and pet-free home. Please examine the pictures as they are part of the description. Thanks for checking out my listing. I will soon be listing many antique dolls (mostly German, several French), doll clothes, doll furniture, doll dishes, etc. Please contact me with any questions.
