Japanese Odairi -Sama or Male Emperor in elaborate folded robe and folded linen collar. Inside the neckline is the artists signature which according to Google is Shugetsu. This doll has carved wooden hands, a porcelain glaze over its face and small beaded eyes. The facial expression seems real to me, but there is a small crack in the thin layer of porcelain above the left eye, going up the neck on the right back side and under the hair, I think this is common for the age and the doll remains very lovely. There are two small decorative sticks included.
