There are many Bubble cut Barbies from the 1962’s, some look really awful asking too much for what they’re worth. This one is so gorgeous, almost flawless. She comes with her original box. The original outfit, made by a doll designer cloches from Montréal. The dress is wool & the lining is the same color satin, accented with a beautiful brooch, as pictured. The closure on the back is a so nice zipper. The matching head band is made from the same material, adorned with 2 black stars & fluffy feathers. Included also is a pair of soft laced pink panties, a see through black shale, a so nice maroon gold chain purse with a gold tassel & a pair of chunky heals to complete the outfit. All is high quality materials. Gee, I hate to brag, but she looks brand new! The high quality stand is included. The dog is not. From a smoke & pet free home. Thanks for?? folks!

Not mint but displays well. Dolls have been wiped down with a damp cloth but could use a cleaning. Head has no repaints, reroots, splits, nips, trimmed or empty plugs. Face paint is complete. Hair appears to be in the original set. Dot of green at both earing holes. Body marked Midge 1962/Barbie 1958 with tight arms and hips. Most finger and toe polish. She will come dressed in her original swimsuit. Also includes her booklet and open toe shoes with one marked Japan in a new cello baggie, wire stand, replacement liner, and box. Box has shelf wear with one repaired corner. There is no “best offer” option on this listing. Brunette’s hand has three fingers that look a little chewed get this girl some gloves, LOL! ; Blonde has tiny mark ink? On her forearm and on the opposite upper hip. No other body flaws that I can see — each could use a little scrubbing, but they really look very nice. One arm on Brunette, one arm on Blonde, and one arm on Redhead are a little swingy, but each can still hold a pose. Which makes her a 1963 Midge — from the first year Midge came out. JAPAN stamped on bottom of one foot. Brunette and Redhead Midge’s butt markings are. Midge TM c 1962 Barbie R c 1958 by Mattel Inc. PATENTED, which makes them 1964 Midges, I believe. JAPAN stamped on “the ball” of one foot. Dress them up and you’ll have a beautiful collection of Midges! VINTAGE Redhead 1961 BUBBLECUT BARBIE Doll withBox

This beautiful bubble cut is the first issue, like ponytail 5, they have the greasy face. That is what I used to identify her as the first issue. Included are doll stand, booklet, shoes and sunglasses. The last 3 are in its sealed package. This doll has been around for more than 60 years. The box has some imperfections. The doll has an almost imperceptible minor damage just under the nose (between nose and upper lip). I had to use a magnifier in person however on the photo it can be seen more clearly. It looks like there is some yellowing of the back bottom of the swimsuit. Please check the pictures and my profile as they are part of the description. Body is marked Mexico with tight arms and hips and has the “Japan” hands which were used on the very first run before they switched to the more common “Mexico” hands. Legs are attached properly and pose as they should but please be aware that the joints are a fragile Mattel design flaw and should be handled carefully. No splits or pinpricks.
