This is an authentic 1963 Titian (Redhead) Bubblecut Barbie on the correct period-accurate straight-leg Midge/Barbie body. This doll is a “true survivor” with 100% original, untouched factory face paint, no restorations or repaints have been performed. Face & Makeup: Features crisp, original blue side-glancing eyes and coral-toned lips. Vinyl Condition: The face exhibits “snowing” (white oxidation spots) common in 1960s vinyl, serving as a hallmark of its vintage age. Shoulders have some markings. Hair: Thick, full Titian redhead Bubblecut; the hair is in its original factory set with no visible missing plugs or trims. Body Markings: Right hip is clearly stamped: MidgeT 1962 / Barbie® 1958 / by Mattel, Inc. Articulation: Classic straight-leg style with “tippy-toe” feet designed for vintage heels. Coloration: Shows typical vintage “mismatched” fading where the torso has lightened more than the limbs and head. Nail Polish: Partial original coral/red polish remains on the hands, with heavier fading on the feet. Standing height is approximately 11.5 to 12 inches. Doll ONLY stand NOT included. Hair appears to be in the original set. Dot of green at both earing holes. Body marked Midge 1962/Barbie 1958 with tight arms and hips. Most finger and toe polish. She will come dressed in her original swimsuit. Also includes her booklet and open toe shoes with one marked Japan in a new cello baggie, wire stand, replacement liner, and box. VINTAGE Redhead 1961 BUBBLECUT BARBIE Doll withBox

This beautiful bubble cut is the first issue, like ponytail 5, they have the greasy face. That is what I used to identify her as the first issue. Included are doll stand, booklet, shoes and sunglasses. The last 3 are in its sealed package. This doll has been around for more than 60 years. The box has some imperfections. The doll has an almost imperceptible minor damage just under the nose (between nose and upper lip). I had to use a magnifier in person however on the photo it can be seen more clearly. It looks like there is some yellowing of the back bottom of the swimsuit. Please check the pictures and my profile as they are part of the description. Barbie VINTAGE Redhead SIDE PONYTAIL TALKING BARBIE Doll withVHTF Japan Hands

Not mint but nice for display. Dolls have been wiped down with a damp cloth but could use a little cleaning. Head has no repaints, reroots, splits, nips, green, trimmed or empty plugs. Face paint is complete with lashes in both eyes. Hair has been professionally retied with original vintage ribbons. Body is marked Mexico with tight arms and hips and has the “Japan” hands which were used on the very first run before they switched to the more common “Mexico” hands. Legs are attached properly and pose as they should but please be aware that the joints are a fragile Mattel design flaw and should be handled carefully. No splits or pinpricks. Pull string is present but she is mute. She will come dressed in her original swimsuit in played with condition. There is no “best offer” option on this listing.
