This is a pretty little antique china head doll that hails from the island of Japan around the turn of the last century, 1900 to 1920. She comes with pretty pearl earrings she is made of bisque porcelain, as are her arms and legs. Someone painted her boots an iridescent green at some point, and luckily, her gown covers those, so no one will get retina burn from them! We suspect those were a modern addition to the doll, and someone was trying to match a former outfit! The doll has wonderful blonde hair and it is arranged beautifully, with coils of hair in the back and a curl on her forehead. She is wearing a bastiste gown, featuring what almost looks like a “watered-silk” print of pink flowers and foliage on an off-white background. It is so pretty! The green ribbon belt matches the green in the dress perfectly and sets everything off. The doll also wears an antique slip and pantalettes. She is the perfect cabinet size to fit on a shelf, tuck into a cupboard, or sit into larger doll’s arms. You simply must choose her today as your holiday surprise for yourself!
