Up for sale is a rare antique Japanese Mitsuore (three-jointed) doll. Dating back to the late Edo period (around the Bakumatsu era). This exceptional piece features a moveable head that turns left and right, which is highly unusual and rare for Mitsuore dolls. It has beautiful glass eyes and still retains its original hair, which is remarkable for a doll of this age. The doll is fully articulated, capable of sitting in seiza (kneeling), kneeling on knees, and standing upright. Kimono: It wears its original antique kimono. The undergarment features beautiful traditional Benibana (safflower) dye with Shibori (tie-dye) patterns. ### Condition: Very Good Antique Condition This doll has been well-preserved with no fatal or major damage. Face/Body: There is a small chip on the tip of the nose and some minor chipping around the neck. Vintage Vietnam Era Japanese Art Geisha Hand Made Fabric Cloth Doll In Glass 17

Here we have a great vintage hand made hand painted Geisha doll. It looks like it is porcelain but very close inspection shows it’s cloth over wood or painted wood it is pourious and not glass and the heads is firm to the touch I did not investigate any further for fear of damaging them. I don’t see anything else like it. The owner was a career Air Force sergeant. Traveled all over the world. According to the estate these were being backs from Japan when he was stationed there during Vietnam. I have 2 different ones available. The other one is listed separately. If anyone has any additional information?? would love to here it and add it to the listing. These are Super Rare and high quality. The cases are glass and hard wood. Not thin glass either.
