VINTAGE BARBIE PONYTAIL 2 ONLY THE BODY ALL FINGERS AND TOES, NO BITES, NO CHEWS Excellent conditions PLEASE VIEW PICTURES FOR MORE DETAIL AND BETTER JUDGE CONDITIONS. Blonde #2 Ponytail Barbie with Gorgeous Slant Eyes. #2 Ponytail Barbie (1959). The “#2 Barbie” is identical in every way to the #1 except that her pedestal stand was redesigned to hold her underneath her arms instead of her feet fitting onto the stand, so she no longer has the holes in her feet. The faces and bodies are identical, and the color of the body usually fades to a pale ivory color. Less #2 Ponytails were made than #1s, so they are actually more rare, but the #1 is more coveted since it was the first. Both bodies are solid and heavy, and are marked on their right tush with the Barbie T. The bottom of her right foot will be marked “JAPAN” either along the bottom of her foot, or in a small box. I never see this hair color, which is hard to describe. It is a silver blonde, sometimes it looks like it has a hint of lilac depending on the lighting. She has beautiful all original high color mint makeup with very blue eyes and long eyelashes. She has wonderful coloring with typical lightening at the nose. No scratches, marks or pinpricks on the body or face. Rare 100% toenail polish. Mint TNT Japan body. Tight arms and legs. Bend legs work properly in all positions. Mint 3 piece orange swimsuit with net cover. Not sure about rubber band, she is how she came to me years ago, please refer to pics. She will come in a white display box what was new when I got her.
